Setting overstay fees

Overstay fees are now available in Fuuse, allowing operators to setup and configure overstay penalties for drivers.

With Fuuse Billing enabled, overstay fees can be found in the Access Control Profiles section of the Fuuse Platform.

Tailoring your overstay fees

As part of Access Controls, operators can choose when overstay fees are applied and for which driver groups.

Flat fees vs recurring fees

Operators can choose whether to implement a single, flat fee for all overstay instances, and/or apply a recurring fee, the longer a vehicle is left blocking the charger.

Recurring fees can be set by default, calculating as soon as the overstay fee time begins. Alternatively, operators can choose to apply a flat fee with subsequent recurring chargers every X minutes. All options are fully configurable.

Flexible grace period

A grace period of 10 minutes is automatically applied to all overstay fees. Operators have the option to increase this to a time that is suitable to them.

Drivers will be notified via a push notification, to return to their vehicle before the grace period ends and overstay fees are applied.

Fee Capping

Fuuse cap all overstay fees at £100 to ensure fees do not escalate in exceptional circumstances. Operators may choose to cap this at a lower amount.

Clear communication

Operators will see a clear summary of their overstay fee configuration. This is pushed to drivers in the mobile app before commencement of their charging session, with notifications sent 10 minutes before their session ends, and when the grace period begins.

Clear reporting

Overstay fees are reported clearly in both the Fuuse portal session log, and to the driver in the app.
