Always be in tune with your vehicle with Fuuse Connected Car

Written by Barbara Morris | 20/10/2023

We have officially launched the first step of an evolving new feature to the Fuuse Driver App that allows drivers to visualise their vehicle’s state of charge, battery percentage, and estimated charging time, all from their phones.

What is Connected Car

Like your mobile phone, electric vehicles have their own data connection that constantly sends data to the manufacturer.

Once drivers add their electric vehicle details, the Fuuse Driver App can access this data and render it into valuable status updates.

Your vehicle battery percentage in your pocket

With Connected Car, drivers can access their vehicle’s battery percentage anywhere, anytime by simply opening the Fuuse Driver App on their mobile phone.

Like routinely checking a mobile for the weather forecast to prepare for the day ahead, drivers can do the same with their car battery percentage. Being aware of battery state is especially beneficial to those with busy days who need to schedule a charging session or plan ahead the night before.

Also, in the case of a charger faulting and the charging session ends, a driver can verify that the battery has charged fully. This reduces the risk of drivers returning to their vehicle to find low battery percentage, and instead, they can return to their vehicle sooner and address the faulted charging session.

With Fuuse EV Charger and Driver Support, you can rest assured that your chargers are covered, and your drivers can access 24-hour support.

Monitor charging status with ease

Having the ability to check up on the status of a charging session at any time is a convenient feature for a driver, especially when they are out and about on errands or working in the office. It is a relief for a driver to know for certain their vehicle is charging as it should and to have an idea when the charge will complete.

This can also encourage customers charging their vehicles at shopping centres and supermarkets to spend more time shopping as they know they have the time to dwell until their vehicle charge finishes.

Some charge points may also issue an overstay fee if a vehicle is left too long in a charging bay. Knowing when their vehicle has finished or will soon finish charging can avoid the risk and reassure drivers worried about accidentally incurring overstay fees.

Setting up Overstay Fees on your chargers can help reduce the problem of EV charging bay hogging.
